Keraton Yogyakarta Dalam Pembingkaian Fotografi Karya Kassian Cephas
Abstract
Foto karya Kassian Cephas mampu menghadirkan tradisi dan identitas Kraton Yogyakarta tidak hanya lewat objek foto (Raja, Istri, Kerabat Raja dan Abdi dalem) namun melalui pakaian, perhiasan, ronce di konde, motif batik, upacara itu sendiri yang hanya bisa dibawakan oleh golongan ningrat, bahkan posisi tangan dan kaki. Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian grounded dengan analisis kualitatif. Pemilihan sampel pada karya foto Kassian Cephas tentang Kraton Yogyakarta. Peneliti menggunakan bahan dokumen yang memuat karya foto Kassian Cephas untuk menghasilkan teori budaya fotografer pada masa tertentu. Hasil penelitian ini adanya perbedaan sudut panjang, jarak dan pose dilakukan oleh Kassian Cephas untuk membedakan derajat kelas dan gender dari objek yang difoto. Selain objek, Kassian Cephas juga memperhatikan detil aksesoris yang menjadi pelengkap objek foto baik di dalam ruangan, studio maupun halaman keraton.
