Konflik Air Di Wilayah Kashmir Antara India Dan Pakistan Berdasarkan Perspektif Geo-Ekonomi
Abstract
Kekurangan air adalah satu masalah yang besar kepada banyak negara di dunia, terutamanya di Negara yang sedang membangun. Konflik air India-Pakistan adalah contoh konflik yang timbul daripada perjuangan dari sumber yang terhad. Berkembang kekurangan sumber air, meningkatkan penduduk dan pengurusan yang lemah sumber air di India dan Pakistan telah menyebabkan peningkatan permintaan bagi sumber air. Kekurangan air bertambah yang membawa kepada keinginan untuk mengawal sumber air, yang seterusnya menjadi suatu alasan bagi konflik air. Berdasarkan sumber sekunder, kertas kajian ini adalah untuk melihat sejauh mana faktor Geo-Ekonomi mendorong kepada konflik yang lebih luas terutamanya di wilayah Kashmir yang hingga kini menjadi rebutan kedua-dua buah Negara. Justeru, bagi mendalami kefahaman mengenai perkara pokok kajian ini, beberapa aspek turut dibincangkan seperti Konsep Geo-Ekonomi dan Latar Belakang Konflik Kashmir serta analisis dari sudut Geo-ekonomi berkenaan dengan konflik air di Kashmir. Kertas kajian ini mendapati bahawa India dan Pakistan perlu sedar, bahawasanya apabila mereka berkeinginan untuk memajukan atau memanfaatkan sumber air di wilayah Kashmir, meraka perlu bekerjasama. Sebarang konflik yang berlarutan berlaku akan menyebabkan kedua-dua negara tidak dapat memanfaatkan sepenuhnya keperluan dan kepentingan sumber air di wilayah tersebut.
