Pandangan Ibnu Khaldun Berkaitan Kaedah Pendidikan Dalam Kitab Al-Muqaddimah
Abstract
Ibnu Khaldun ( 1332-1406 M ) merupakan seorang tokoh sejarawan dan pemikir Islam berkaitan ilmu sosiologi, politik, ekonomi dan pendidikan yang terkenal sehingga ke hari ini. Karyanya al-Muqaddimah diakui sebagai karya ulung oleh para sarjana dan menjadi sumber kajian serta rujukan sehingga ke hari ini. Objektif kajian ini ialah :
Menjelaskan kaedah pendidikan yang dicadangkan oleh Ibnu Khaldun berdasarkan karyanya al-Muqaddimah
Menjelaskan kepentingan kaedah pendidikan yang dicadangkan oleh Ibnu Khaldun kepada para pendidik kini
Kajian ini menggunakan metodologi kualitatif sepenuhnya iaitu dengan menggunakan analisis terhadap dokumen-dokumen seperti buku, jurnal dan tesis akademik. Kajian ini mendapati bahawa kaedah-kaedah pendidikan yang dicadangkan oleh Ibnu Khaldun di dalam kitab al-Muqaddimah sememangnya bermanfaat untuk diamalkan serta dipraktikkan pada masa kini oleh para pendidik di seluruh institusi pendidikan Islam. Walaupun beliau terkenal dalam bidang sosiologi dan sejarah, namun sumbangan ideanya dalam aspek-aspek keilmuan lain seperti ilmu pendidikan tidak wajar dinafikan kerana terbukti kaedah-kaedah pendidikan yang dikemukakan oleh beliau ternyata penting dalam pendidikan terutamanya pendidikan Islam.
